Spring time is here for all my US friends and family, and rather than shopping for a whole new wardrobe I thought it would be cool to show you how to tie a new item for the season! Tied clothing is pretty cool and adventurous because it’s crafty, usually pretty naked, and you never have to worry about running into someone wearing the same outfit. I teamed up with Liberian fashion and beauty blogger Mattie James of Mattieologie to make a video displaying three different ways to tie your cloth. Of course we used traditional lappa and tie dye cloth purchased in Liberia, but many of these will certainly work with your scarfs and other scraps you may have around the house. Check it out above! Which style is your favorite?
Also, be sure to check out the Patchy Pouches in the shop.
Post a picture of you in your tied cloth styles to my facebook account by next week Friday, and I’ll send you a piece from Liberia to play with!
